In the release notes for pidgin 2.4.2 it says a plugin has been added but not installed by default to add a send button to conversation windows. What exactly do they mean "added but not installed"? I do not see a plugin for that and don't know where to find it. If there was a forum for Pidgin I would post there but I don't know of one so I am hoping someone here knows.
It means that the feature that does that (looks to be a plugin) isn't installed. You have to install it to get the functionality. I do not know the name of the plugin and can't seem to find it either. I will look more when I get to work, but maybe someone else has an idea.
Does anybody know about his or where I can get more info?
I don't know either. I'm afraid to ask in #pidgin as I may get beaten with a stick and told to read the FAQ, so I will review the FAQ once more before I ask... nothing in FAQ.
Here's the response:
"It doesn't ship with the Windows installer due to an oversight, you'll need to build it yourself." So, I guess you're outta luck unless you can find it build somewhere.
Thanks for the info. Where did you go to ask for that answer?
#pidgin on irc.freenode.net (Pidgin can connect to this). Be careful what you ask there and always read the FAQ first.
Completely off topic....but I didn't know Pidgin support IRC. W00t!!!!
That's pretty funny, cause you've always looked like the hardcore Pidgin user around here.
