Hi All
I have been looking for a player that can have a library of music files that are stored on my removable drive.
does this -> http://coolplayer.sourceforge.net/?faq#5 mean that coolplayer will do this for me?
Also can coolplayer be used for firefox plugin action?
If not, I found an old thread about using the VLC plugin and altering some file to make it use the portable install, is this the best way to go about this?
thanks for any help
coolplayer its already portable and can handle a couple off things. playlist files, ogg mp3 wave...... but take a look here and try it its only 1,5 mb

Yes thanks neorame, I already installed it, thats why I was asking.... so my q still remains, can coolplayer use relative paths in its lib?
Am currently trying to get this to work in AIMP also. I know foobar will do this with manual path editing, but I have approx 30Gb o music, so my fingers would be tired...
also with the plugin Q?
PS: the skin is pretty cool
coolplayer+ (The portable one) is already configured to look for audio files in you music folder on a PApps enabled drive, unfortunately coolplayer simply doesent support a library, one has to manually browse and open each file.

I read somewhere that coolplayer accepts WinAMP plugins. where do they go in the Portable version?
coolpayer plugin page it says: "You have to put the .dll file into the CoolPlayer directory, CoolPlayer doen't load .dlls from subfolders."
"What about Love?" - "Overrated. Biochemically no different than eating large quantities of chocolate." - Al Pacino in The Devils Advocate
I tried that with the Windows Media Player plugin. Coolplayer+ just quit. I reinstalled, but haven't tried again yet.

CoolPlayer hasn't supported the Windows Media Player plugin in a long time.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks. I might have found info on an old page.
I downloaded Screamer Portable. Awesome, not to big.. excellent.
Thanks for the response, and all you do.

I already attempted to use Winamp's input plugins but it seems the PortableApps version doesn't automatically load the plugins, even if they are in the same folder than the CoolPlayer executable folder (X:\PortableApps\CoolPlayer+Portable\App\CoolPlayer+). Seems to be an issue with the current version.
Attempted with the following input plugins
in_wm.dll
in_flac.dll
in_mp4.dll
CoolPlayer+ is unable to play them with the DLL in the executable folder.
Anyone had any luck getting Winamp plugins to work with CoolPlayer+?
I'm trying to stick them in the \App\CoolPlayer+\ directory (same as the program executable) but it seems like the plugins are being ignored. Maybe my plugins are not compatible or I'm doing something wrong.. I'd love to know what the case is.
Forgot to mention I'm using the latest version of CoolPlayer+ Portable: 2.19.1
The Coolplay web site says:
Quote:
This plugin seems to work only with CP214 and older. Someone tested it with CP215 and it didn't work. So, no garanty on this one.

CoolPlayer+ has been deleting the medtadat/tags from tracks when played or added to playlist. Is this a common problem?

This could be related to CoolPlayer it self, I'll take a look at the source and see if I can fix this myself

Hi,
I use Coolplayer+Portable v2.19.2 a lot.
But I don't understand why some tags on my mp3 files are displayed in the playlist, while others simply aren't.
This is so for ID3v1 as for ID3v2 tags.
Any suggesstions ?
thx
