Portable Avast Antivirus

I really prefer the Avast Antivirus and do not want the U3 format. So I want to request a portable version.

...

Keep calm now Ryan. Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. In, out. In, out. In - ah stuff it.
LINKY! Put a link damn it! How are we supposed to make a portable version if you can't even make a link to point us in the right direction? Huh? Ever thought of that?
Poor Linky. *sob* Sad

Why would anyone use avast

Why would anyone use avast is my question.

I'm an AVG fan hehe, I broke down and PAID for AVG full, even though free worked fine, because I like them so much. No Bloat, No bullshit, just a good AV and I support companies I like.

Also, I dont think avast portable could be accomplished outside of U3 due to licensing, and the overall sloppiness of the app itself. LOTS of reg entries, and lots of running files on startup. I used it for 2 days before I eliminated every trace from my system. With U3 Avast is doing the work themselves, so no licensing issues. Thew devs here work mostly with OPEN SOURCE.
