I've been using the ini, and ever since I have, files that should be put in PortableApps\PortableFirefox\
Data\userprofile\ are put in same directory as the launcher, even though the userprofile path is correctly defined in the ini.

It must be properly defined (relative to the exe) and it must exist.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
It is.
exe is in the root dir, and the ini is in \PortableApps\PortableFirefox\
Here's the ini:
[PortableFirefox]
FirefoxDirectory=PortableApps\PortableFirefox\App\firefox
ProfileDirectory=PortableApps\PortableFirefox\Data\profile
PluginsDirectory=PortableApps\PortableFirefox\Data\plugins
UserProfileDirectory=PortableApps\PortableFirefox\Data\userprofile
AdditionalParameters=
AllowMultipleInstances=true
SkipChromeFix=true
SkipCompregFix=true
WaitForFirefox=false
FirefoxExecutable=firefox.exe
DisableSplashScreen=false
LocalHomepage=
Also, Thunderbird puts local_backup.reg in the root dir as well when I use its ini.
Launcher is in the root, and ini is in PortableApps\PortableThunderbird
Here's the TB ini:
[PortableThunderbird]
ThunderbirdDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\App\thunderbird
ProfileDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\Data\profile
PluginsDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\Data\plugins
UserProfileDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\Data\userprofile
AdditionalParameters=
AllowMultipleInstances=false
SkipChromeFix=true
SkipCompregFix=true
WaitForThunderbird=false
ThunderbirdExecutable=thunderbird.exe
GPGPathDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\App\gpg
GPGHomeDirectory=PortableApps\PortableThunderbird\Data\gpg

I figured that. And, yes, I do need to bump it. People, including me, generally ignore read threads, especially after 5 days.
Vintage!
I don't
It's more polite to bump with proper information/disscussions.

I would have, but there was really nothing more to add.
Vintage!
Oh and by the way, my INI is named PortableFirefox.ini
See? Useless information is a good way to bump.
Or having conversations like this about bumping

After a horrible partition removal accident, I had to have a clean slate. Firefox doesn't have the problem anymore (maybe I had an outdated launcher), but thunderbird still leaves thunderbird_localbackup.reg in the launcher's directory.
