Can not add Application .exe to Menue

Tried a few times to enter an application with a .exe. When going through the process and reache the point of browsing for the application the only box selection is *.paf.exe ? The drop down does not have just for the .exe?

Well...

To add an external app you need to add it into the PortableApps Sub Dir on your drive in order for it to be picked up in the menu the add app portion of the menu is only those that are packaged by PortableApps.com at this time

Did Just that. I had created

Did Just that. I had created and dropped the application into a MyApps Directory within the default PortableApps directory. Still only see a (File Type Drop Down) PortableApps.com Format (*.paf.exe) No .exe anywhere?
Could it be a version issue? Have 1.1.0.0

Refresh

Just click Options - Refresh App Icons. Since it's not in PortableApps.com Format, the menu doesn't know it's installed automatically. By clicking refresh, it'll go looking for it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Still No Go

When you simply select Options> Install New App> I get a window with a title open. The only option on the File Type Drop Down is the formentioned "PortableApps.com Format (*.paf.exe) only. There are no other selections to select and view an .exe file at all. In the directory there is an .exe but can not be seen to select for adding.

Refresh options does noothing. But why would it, i am unable to see and identify the application to add it in the first place? I think I will re-down load and reinstall to see if there as a problem in the first install.

As follows

I created a direcory (Folder) as follows: PortableApps/MyApps/ then dropped the application in that folder. And the applcation can not bee seen. i am currentlr redown loading the app. Then i will reinstall fresh and see what happens. I know it worked on the Wifes Flash drive a couple weeks ago when i was playing around. But it seems to not work on this version.

Install New Apps will NOT do

"Install New Apps" will NOT do anything unless it is an official PortableApps.com package.

To add your own apps to the menu, follow this process

Create a subdirectory of the /PortableApps dir ex: /PortableApps/MyApp

Place your application in that subdirectory

Click Options in the PortableApps.com Menu

Click Refresh App Icons

Also

Make sure it's not called uninstall.exe or one of the other executables that the platform ignores.

I guess I finded solution

You transfer desired folder portable apps folder to PortableApps folder of Portable apps launcher in where you downloaded the launcher. Next, open Portable Apps launcher. End, find your exe in other named category and right click app > Category > (Your wanted category).
