Portable Firefox Bon Echo Alpha 1 has been out for a while but there are substantial changes to Firefox Bon Echo Alpha 3, so I would greatly appreciate having Bon Echo Alpha 3 portable.

Bon Echo Alpha 3 was released yesterday
Just copy the files from a local install (C:\Program Files\Bon Echo) to your portable version (PortableFirefox\App\firefox) and you're good to go. I'm in Moscow on vacation at the moment and probably won't have the time to release a build until I return.
If you don't have access to a machine you can install Bon Echo on (you don't actually have to run it and possibly affect your local profile... just install... copy the files out.... then uninstall) then you should not be using Portable Bon Echo. It's alpha-level software for testing only and may have adverse effects on the host machine.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thank you
What do you mean "probably wont have time to release a build until I[you] return"?? You're on vacation! Why are you even reading the forum! Give yourself a break please!!!!
Lucky you for going to Moscow by the way. I'll get there one day...
The quotes are probably more appropriate. I'm still doing some work on portable apps stuff and some stuff on the site while I'm here. I'll be doing less when I head to St Petersburg tomorrow as I won't have an internet connection where I'm staying.

Hmm. It's just that it only seems like a month or so ago that I test-drove Bon Echo Alpha 1. Usually Firefox milestones aren't this close together. At least, they never have been before.

They are zooming along the releases highway.

What (or who) is Minefield?

Bon Echo (Firefox 2.0a) and Minefield (Firefox 3.0a)

How can you work on version 2.0 and version 3.0 of the same program at the same time? Isn't version n+1 usually based on version n? So you're basing the next version on an incomplete previous version? Not exactly the smartest thing in the world to do.

That's what everyone has been saying.

I found a link to a working portable copy of Bon Echo Alpha 3 at CyberNet Technology News http://tech.cybernetnews.com/2006/05/27/firefox-20-alpha-3-released/.
They provide a link to Portable Firefox 2.0 Alpha 3 - http://www.public.iastate.edu/~wagner84/PortableFirefox2.0alpha3.zip.
I have been using the build from the above link for about a day, and it has been working great thus far.
