Themes

Ok, I downloaded this with the Portable Apps Suite, and its been working great.

It does this to all themes. It downloads them, then tries to install and says "Firefox could not install the file at 'https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ then the rest for the .jar file'
because: Unexpected installation error. Reveiw the Error Console log for more details. -203"

and i get this error in my error console: "e.location.getItemLocation(e.id) has no properties" in "file:///F:/PortableApps/FirefoxPortable/App/firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js"

Update: It says error on line 4144 of that file, which says: "var e = validExtensions[i];" and it ties into the getItemLocation error on the next line.

Download

Firefox sometimes has issues with themes and extensions when cache is disabled. Right-click and save it locally and then add it in.

xpi help

Its not xpi but jar.
All Firefox add ons come in renamed zip files with the *.xpi extension. Themes have the extension *.jar.

But the procedure is the same. Download the *.jar to your Desktop and then drag&drop it into the Addons/themes window.

Ok, i did that but...

I saved the *.jar to the desktop, and drag&drop onto the add-ons window. It does the load thing, says "installing...." then disappears and the installation tab is still up.

?

also, i started a new session, and immediately got the same e.location error from my first post, and i got the same error again when trying to install the drag&dropped theme... If that makes a difference.

Corrupt Theme

Sounds like a corrupt theme. Be sure you're downloading ones from the addons.mozilla.org site that are appropriate for your version of Firefox.
