Firefox 2.0.0.14 cannot install extensions

Firefox 2.0.0.14 cannot install extensions.

Whenever I try to install an extension, I always get this error.

Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/xxx

because: Unexpected installation error
Review the Error console log for more details
-203

Is there any more info known about this error?

Here are a couple of things you could try:

  1. Enabling cache before installling the extension (or trying too) and then turning it off afterwards.
  2. Download the xpi file (right click on the download link, save it and then drag it into Firefox

Corrupt Extensions files

I tried the above and was having no luck installing the adblock extension so after a bit of googleing i found the following:

Long Ass Link

After renaming the files listed here under \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\ closing firefox and allowing it to remake the extension files, still leaving the cache on (I didn't try it turned off) the extension installed without problems!

Don't know if there's a place to officially report these things so I'm relying on someone here to do it for me, if it hasn't been reported already!
