Cool Player

Does cool player support automatic downloading of tags and artwork of mp3 files??
If yes then tell me how.
If no then tell me which one will do.

Your best bet

Your best bet is to ask your question in the coolplayer website at coolplayer.sf.net in their forums they designed the app, we just made it with a launcher to be integrated with the PortableApps.com Platform

garunteed the answer...

is no. coolplayer is basically just windows media player 6 with different code and some other small fetures. it only supports playing, none of the fancy stuff that you get with a full fetured media player like WMP or realplayer. coolplayer is only a player, not a media manager.

If you need something more complicated, try VLC (I never managed to figure out how it works :P)

As said above, Coolplayer is

As said above, Coolplayer is only an audio player. It does not contain any media management functionnalities.

If you are looking for a more feature-filled media player, you could try to use Songbird, which is powered by Mozilla. I'm looking into if it can be PortableApps'ed (pretty sure it can).

If you need video capabilities, you could either use VLC or SMPlayer.

thanks m-p-3...

that is what i was talking about.

@Zach, i wasnt just talking about the inability to play vids, i was talking about cool players onlyability, to play audio. no vids, no library, no extended features that would be with a library capable media player like tag editiing and album info stuff. coolplayer simply doesnt have these things.

@Digit XP, WHY?!? you had to post as i was typing up my post!! WHY?!? Blum

Temporary solution

While the pre tags are crazy, you can:

  1. (Optional) Get Stylish
  2. Write to the userContent.css (or make a stylish style if used step 1) the following:
    @-moz-document domain(portableapps.com) {

    .content > pre {
      max-width: the size you think it is better for you in ems (I use 50em) !important;
    }

    }

Nice

Looks like they've been fixed now. I haven't read all the forum posts yet, so maybe this has been noted.
