New to Portable apps and already screwed up.
Installed on ipod, but to play around w1th it I installed to C: Drive also.
It now appears on explorer as C: Drive.
It appears to have removed my Administrators privliges, and will not allow other browsers etc. when running. It does not appear on list of Add/Remove programmes and I cannot do a system restore to unistall either.
Any ideas?

If you want to "uninstall" the PortableApps suite, simply delete it's folder - be sure that is not running.
PortableApps won't remove your administrator settings - something else seems to screwed up.
Try to remove (delete) it from your C: drive and see what happens.

I got the wrong end of the stick as usual and I obviously have a different problem. I have deleted it for now and will restore when I have a clean System. It will be a very useful tool for me as I visit the kids often using their computers when there and as Yuck Airlines charge #10.00 per bag I often leave the Laptop at home.
Hey Charliemac. Like Dagenham said, there's nothing to uninstall. What you're seeing is the autorun.inf which renamed your C drive and makes the PortableApps.com Platform start when you double-click your C drive in Explorer. To fix that, just open up explorer. Then right-click on your C drive and choose Open or Explore. In the window that comes up, just delete the file autorun.inf. (If you installed the old 1.0 version, the file is hidden so you'll need to show hidden files) That'll fix the problem of it launching in Explorer. You can uninstall the rest just by deleting StartPortableApps.exe and the PortableApps and Documents directories. That should do it for you.
