Well - I heard that there is a Thunderbird 3 beta on the way.
Just wonder if it are on Portable, so I can test it?
Have not tried this beta on the PC (as not portable), so it may be a silly quistion.
Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 is fine
I am just Curious
Thunderbird 3 is still in alpha, which means there won't be a portable version yet since PortableApps doesn't usually do alpha quality programs. I also can't remember if John ever even does the betas of Thunderbird. I don't think so, but I could be wrong about that.
All that being said, welcome to PortableApps.com and enjoy your stay!
EDIT: John does beta releases of Thunderbird, so once it reaches the beta stage, you can probably expect a release.
Hi LittleUnknOwn
Thanks for the informations.
And fine Sunday to you.
P.S
Have you tried the beta (or alpha) on a PC?
I am just Curious - It's punny! 5 points for you!
Hi,
I installed the Thunderbird Portable version on my Scandisk 4Gb USB drive and cannot get email. I click on get email mail and I see it says connecting to mail server then an info panel saying connection to server timed out.
I have un-installed it and re-installed it a couple of times still no change. I turned off my AVG antivirus and my Comodo Firewall still no change. My regular Thunderbird PC client works just fine.
I have the latest versions of both the Portable and PC version of Thunderbird.
What is happening?
Thank you
