I'm running the newest version of Thunderbird Portable with Webmail extensions to manage several accounts. Yesterday I was having problems with Thunderbird (was closing unexpectedly, etc) so I decided to do a new reinstall.
When I was trying to delete the folder from my thumb drive, I kept getting an error - couldn't delete prefs-4.js.
I ended up reinstalling over the old folder. Now I'm trying to backup my profile (simply copy to and with MozBackup) and I keep getting the same error - cannot copy prefs-4.js - file is corrupt etc.
Can anyone tell me how to workaround this prefs-4.js file? It seems to be a real pain.
it will convert the broken file to a deletable one. use commandline or simply reboot with your drive plugged in.
Other way : rightclick your drive in explorer and choose properties/tools/check your drive
