Hi, I use this program to delete my private data but after I run it I notice that the free space in the specific partition reduces. Is it normal?

The new versions of Eraser (> 5.84) are impossible to portabalize because they require the VC++ runtimes, which must be installed. For an alternative, try the portable version of 5.87.1 found here (full GUI, no commandline) -

Yeah, fortunately Joel posted a statically linked version of 5.87.1 (which I use in EDT) so it can be used portably. He did not post a static version of EraserL though, only the main GUI.
The future depends on whether he (or someone) keeps providing statically linked versions of Eraser.dll.
