Changing the Logo

Hi, I have downloaded a version of PAM on http://portableapps.xrx.ca/
which has more options.
I saw that the logo is slightly different from the original one.
I want to know if it's possible to change the logo easily or
we need to recompile the source code of PAM.
I have a look of the code, absolutely no idea what language it uses.
I saw in the other post, that it's written in Delphi, is it right?

Thanks

which logo do you want to change?

tray: nope
PAM logo: edit the theme.ini and set all lines refering to portable apps logo:"visible=0"
perhaps you should try R31 patch hosted by PTC

Thanks, but it seems still

Thanks, but it seems still not able to disable the display of the logo on the top left. Maybe I still need to read more example of theme.ini to understand how to use it to configure.
By the way, do you know if it's possible to change tray icon by the ini file?

@1

look at those theme.inis how to add extra buttons, change logo http://usb.smithtech.us/projects/downloads/PortableAppsMenuMod31.zip
@2 afaik with R31 you can´t change the tray icon, perhaps you should use smithtechs mod below
@smithtech, sorry, didn´t forget your mod, and of course, neither the geekmenu , he just put a question to r3x Smile

Would have to recompile

You would have to edit then recompile the PAM source code.
I can't speak for the other MODs, but my menu supports customizing the logo and the tray icon.
For the 1.2 beta just replace the tray.ico or the logo.ico in the apps icons folder.
For the 1.1 version, you will have to put the logo.ico in the folder for the theme you are using.

Thanks for your solution. Do you know what are the necessary tools to install to recompile the code? Thanks for replying.

Turbo Delphi

You would have to download and install Borlands Turbo Delphi.
Its free, you just have to register. Check Borlands Website.
It would be a lot easier to just use one of the MODs, especially if your not a programmer/developer.

I like the easy way that you

I much like the easy way that you provide to modify the logo and tray icon, etc.
but the XrX R30 's ability of adding removing, categorizing programs and configuration of the theme by theme.ini is so attractive, and the option menu of XrX is more user-friendly.
So are you considering of adding these features in the SmithTech version?
Thanks.

Unfortunately Probably No

I have thought about adding category support to my menu several times.
I was almost ready to start on it when John asked me to help with the development of PAM 1.5. Most of the features in the MOD's are supposed to eventually get worked into the new version, so it seems like a waste of time and effort at this point.
As for the theme.ini my menu does support the R3x MOD's themes.
On the ease of adding and removing apps I may make it easier, I've been making minor improvements to the menu lately just nothing major. Again time and effort on duplicating features from other menu's.

EDIT:
I've added a few extra options to the options button right click menu.
I also added a right click menu to the applications button with Add and Remove shortcuts.

It seems that "Geek.Menu" is

It seems that "Geek.Menu" is a version of PAM MOD that can do a lot of customization.
