CD Rip Addon for SongBird

Is anyone interested in making this. I found the forum comment linked below from one of the developers who basically said he couldn't envisage having a CD ripping feature on song bird. You'll see a comment I added suggesting the addon and a possible solution to how. I'm no programmer so sorry but this is a request to anyone with the time and know how to make this.

Please post if you think you'll take this up. I think if it is developed in time to be ready for when Ryan mcCue has the devtest for songbird out so they can be trialled together it would mean an increased testing pool for both.

Unless you have already

Unless you have already purchased Tag&Rename, i'd recommend using MP3Tag instead. It's freeware, not nagware/shareware, and does almost all the same things.

If this isn't the same Tag n Rename, please provide the right link.

Hey Zach This is the correct

Hey Zach

This is the correct Tag N Rename. However there is a ported version of it which unfortunately I can't post the link for here. However if you Google tag & rename portable you should find a copy pretty quickly. But actually looking at the MP3Tag app you pointed out it looks like it does pretty much the same thing so users might be better using that then experimenting with ported proprietary software.

Hopefully there'll be a portable version of this out somewhere in the near future :o)

So then now that it has been

So then now that it has been established that BonkEnc and MP3 tag plug-ins are the best way to go, is anyone interested?
