Don't know about how to

Don't know about how to configure FlashGot for you but i do have a suggestion though. I use DownThemAll with mine and it works just fine. Has all the same features like referal URL and split downloads and such. All in one plugin versus a plugin that allows you to use a secondary app that has to be installed onto the host machine you use. I have also seen that it is a tad more stable than the FlashGet installs i have had.

You might want to check it just to give it a go. I think you may like it.

Portable Wackget is much

Portable Wackget is much better for downloads. Fx slows down a lot (app, not connection) when it handles a download.

Flashgot technically does

Flashgot technically does not support it unless you are a paying customer then it works just fine. Any download manager should work as long as you put it to one chunk and download one file at a time. Slow but it works as i do it now and then when I need a file or set of files from there. DtA is great for me as I can't install flashgot on my work PC and DtA integrates into FF so i don't have to install a third party download manager onto my work PC just to get DLManager support. Besides... For RS, I would use the provided tool they have as I loved it when I had a subscription to RS and was very useful as I could take a bunch of URLs to files and simply dump them into the RS Tool and it found the URLs and picked them out and downloaded them for me.

It's not a question of DL

It's not a question of DL manager support. Rapidshare has the site set up so that links are redirected and you have to use the browser's download. It sucks for anyone using Portable Fx because downloads in it slow Fx down tremendously.

Flashget & Rapidshare

You have to enable direct downloads in your Rapidshare account.

Log in / Premium Zone / Options / Check Box for direct downloads.

You also have to back up your registry entry that holds the password info.

The way I found it was to search for my username through the registry.

I saved the whole Jetcar folder. There are two entries but all you have to save is the first one. The second is in a folder under the SID for the computer. Since the SID is different on every system you plug into it doesn't make any sense to save the entry there. Luckilly FlashGet works just fine with just the first one.

Save this one.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetCar

To start on a new PC run the backed up .reg file before you run FlashGet.
