Reason for request:
I teach video game design on the side to high school students. At the end of this school year (May & June 2008), the students wanted to study game design. I was able to make a portable wrapper for the RPG Maker 2003, but that is a hack of a copyrighted game engine. The students would work on the programs at the school, and design them further at home, making it a great program for pen drives. I have checked the forums, but no one has currently heard of this game engine (though some have talked about RPG Maker 2003).

I like your idea. I never heard about this program. I maded a, ehem, "Portable" version with WinRAR. It extracts all in a temp folder and then runs the software. If there is an error say it to me.

Uh, do you know what 7Zip is, or a .paf filetype? The installers are made with self-extracting (through 7Zip) capabilities.

This actually sounds intruguing. I look forward to the development of a portable app of this program.
The problem with that is the Toolkit editor requires specific VB runtime and OCX files to be registered with the OS, in many cases this may not be a problem, but it may be necessary to register specific files with Windows, this goes against the principal of the portable application. Future versions of the editor should be able to run from a USB stick without issue.
