Giving away Portableapp.com Suite

The company that I work for is looking at giving away ThumbDrives for our end of the year giveaway. We were at a trade show a moth or so back and those seemed a real hit. I was wondering if it were permissible to put the Apps Suite on them. It will be made clear that it was FREE software that came from Portableapps.com and links to the project page.

Our business caters to pilots who use public terminals in numerous airports across the country and this would be very useful for them.

Yup

Sure. Smile Just be sure to do a default install of the Suite (to the root directory) without alterations. And, once installed, be sure to clear out the Data directories for Firefox, Sunbird and Thunderbird so that the end user is presented with the license agreement on first run. (Note to self, I still need to write up these guidelines and create a tool to ensure the Suite is sanitized after install for redistribution.) Remember, no changes can be made for Firefox, Sunbird or Thunderbird.

Thanks

Great! Wouldn't doing a clean install and NOT running anything from it solve the need to clear out directories?

No!

I just tried it and Firefox didn't show the License at startup.
Because the License is shown when you install the suite, the FirefoxPortable.ini is set to "AgreedToLicense=Yes" so it doesn't show it if you start Firefox.

Nope

As Simeon realized, the Suite installer shows the 3 Mozilla EULAs and sets them as read. That's why I said you need to be sure to clear those specific directories.
