Thanks John for the Newsletter

Thank you John for the first edition of the PortableApps.com Newsletter!
I just discovered it in my mailbox and was truly thrilled.

Congratulations for finally getting it done and out the door. I am really looking forward to all the new releases and the next one.

yes

but the normal feed I think is https://portableapps.com/feeds/general.
I only noticed the "weired feed" and the notifications sections today.

Yes, John, thanks for the newsletter. Finally I can keep up-to-date on what's happening here.

Aw

Aw, man, I should have added that. I was just doing new ones... but Toucan should have been on there anyway. It'll be in next month's with a longer highlight.

Welcome

You're welcome. I wanted to get one out in time for people to vote for the SourceForge awards. And it was long overdue.

The bounces problem isn't quite solved, of course... and I need to do that before sending out another one. There are currently 2,100 bounces and they're still rolling in.

No

The newsletter is plaintext for a reason. It's easier to read on all clients and devices (blackberry, palm, iphone) and it's less likely to be blocked as spam. It's monthly as described.

Is there a version of the newsletter online available for viewing?

I don't want to subscribe to anything, I just want to read the thing.

User Submissions

Could there be a spot on the newsletter for user submissions of tips and tricks maybe a sticky topic in the General forum?

Oh you

mean like BluePlanet's ClamScan utility?
Yeah user submissions sounds like a good idea but I don't think John or the mods would want to go through all of them, and if all users were allowed then plenty of spam.
