For my first PortableApp I thought I'd choose something simple, so I chose a program that calculates the motion of a projectile (thanks to Havvy for suggesting this). Here's the description of the program according to SourceForge: "Projectile motion is a GUI based program that calculates various parameters of projectile motion based on initial velocity and height. It also plots the path of the projectile and can also find the location (x,y) as a function of time and vice versa."
You can find out more about this program here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectilecalc/
I'm working on this with the help of Taneth (aka taneth111 on these forums) who'll be showing me what to do.
whilst install i get an error
Projectile.exe
Error msg: This application has failed to start because libgsl.dll was not found.
Windows then says it has stopped working and requires me to close it. Its says to reinstall on the error msg also so I did but I still get the error.
I have windows vista x64 which might be the problem but it would be nice if it was 64bit compatible.
thanks
That'll be fixed in the Portable version, it's just that Projectile normally doesn't come with some .dll's it needs for it to run properly. Projectile Portable will come bundled with the required .dll's (they are released with a GPL license as well).
yes, upnPAD, i am known as taneth111 here.
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
