First time poster but long time user of PA. Thanks to everyone here who has worked hard to make PA what it is.
Apologies if this has been answered before, but given the proliferation of portable applications (a good thing) I'd like to see the PA menu have an "other apps" option. This would allow users to add program shortcuts that would be accessible from the PA menu. For instance, I'm using a couple of the FastStone portable programs. Since the programs are closed source freeware I understand why they can't be official PA programs. But it would be nice to have direct shortcuts to the exe's in the PA menu.

Right now, the Menu picks up all exe files which are in a subfolder of the PortableApps folder. That means shortcuts arent possible at the moment but I hope that support comes with one of the next releases. See the Suite Support page for more info.

This functionality is planned for the new version of PAM I beleive.
Until then you can use one of the MOD's (NOTE: these are COMPLETELY unsupported by portableapps.com)
Although you can general get help in the forums from other users and the authors.

Thanks simeon and smithtech. I didn't realize the PA Suite could handle other apps simply by adding to the folder structure, then refreshing icons. RTFM, right? LOL. The R31 Mod is also excellent. It gives a good sense of what to expect in future versions of PA, including the ability to handle shortcuts. Nice work.
