What might be the error good sir?
it only happens when using the a work computer, which is on a network. I'm not on the work computer, but it runs through a server, error number, not sure due to not on work computer but it (error) comes up and it fails to send. It does receive ok, but when I try to send emails or reply to an email it fails to work.
You're most likely being blocked from using port 25... the standard used to send email. Most ISPs and business block individual PCs from sending on that port to prevent spammers from sending directly from their networks.
Your provider probably has a secured port available to you. That is more likely to work. Google, for example, does secure mail sending on port 587 with TLS encryption (see here). You'll need to check with your mail provider to be sure.
There is a chance that work blocks all outgoing mail connections. In that case, there's not much you can do.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thank you
