IETab works with the local install of IE, so it will use the host IE with Firefox. What I advice is User Agent Switcher, so that the site think Firefox is IE. Some features of the site will probably not work, and the interface will be glitchy, but it wont let private data on the PC (in this case browsing history).

websites only work on ie? seems very bad design.
Windows update only works on IE, but you shouldn't need to access this if you're using PA
I'm talking about (http://www.senavirtual.edu.co/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp) this is the official Colombian site for virtual education, and this course "English discoveries online" warning about only works with IE.

Or you could use UserAgent Switcher and make Firefox to identify itself as Internet Explorer and see if the website still works.
