OK, trying to figure out which USB Flash drive are how fast has my head spinning. It seems like the different manufacturers use different tests to get different speeds. I figured I could look for ones that had Vista Readyboost support since that has certain requirements, but found that even there some drives are using caches to make them work.
SO, I figured this was the best place to ask. I'd like to get an 8GB or 16GB Flash drive to replace my current, rather slow, flash drive. Can y'all recommend any specific models that will run the Portable FF3 quickly without having to turn off most of the features?
TIA!
I'm using Sandisk Cruzer Micro, with all the FF3 features on, including cache, history, Smart Bookmarks, Awesome bar and Session Manager and I'm not experiencing any freezes or lags whatsoever.
But if you really want to be worry free, try the Lexar JumpDrive Lightning, the fastest USB flash drive I know.
Alive and kicking!

This is their faster version, and I use it for both Portable Firefox and Portable Thunderbird with no problems at all...
I recommend the Cruzer Contour, it comes with 4gb 8 gb and also 16gb I believe. 16gb is waaayy to pricey so I would recommend the 8 or 4gb. Its extremely fast and if you want it to go faster, you can uninstall U3. And yes its has readyboost. Its quite heavy but its pretty hard and durable. (I dropped it once on hard floor and nothing happened) and the sliding design is fun to slide.
Ended up getting the Cruzer Micro 8GB. Can certainly tell the difference in performance, and it's nice not to have to worry about losing the cap. Thanks for all the suggestions!
