Digsby for portable apps

Digsby is a social networking that includes email and social networking all in one. I use it every day. It includes Gmail, yahoo mail, or almost any iMap or pop email service. For social networks it includes Myspace, Facebook and twitter and they are adding more all the time. It is completely open source and free. If it could be made to run on portable apps that would be great.

Uh, what?

Uh, that sounds like the web browser flock. Try it out. Flock is based on Firefox and has all the social networking bonuses. Also, it's open source, which this program isn't. Because of that, the program cannot be portablized on our end. Try asking in their blog.

Digsby is an instant

Digsby is an instant messenger application, not a web browser. completely different apps. Also, Flock is not fully open source, it includes several closed source components

Disagree

I disagree, I'm pretty sure it's not open source.

Hi

bluefalcon, and welcome to PortableApps.com.

Unfortunately we do not allow links in signatures on this site so if you could remove it that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

sure [illegal site] blog have make Digsby portable but i dont like his Apps:

-i wanna not support warez sites/blogs

I know this is a super-old

I know this is a super-old thread, but to help those who Googled Digsby for PortableApps, I figured I would update. The official Digsby installer now has a portable option! I'm going to be working in the next couple of days to make an online installer for the portable version so that it would work for PA.c.

In the meantime, for those who are impatient, I posted a thread on how to do it right here: https://portableapps.com/node/33768

Although the file structure doesn't go along with PA.c 3.0 specification, you can still have it added to the menu so that it works fine from any computer.

I attend ECPI University for Network Security. I'm a big proponent of open source software(and hardware, such as the OpenPandora and Raspberri Pi). In my spare time, I'm a computer guy, and I plan to make that into a career.
