I have firefox 2.0.0.15, in my pc and in many other pc firfox portable works perfectly, but in the office's laptops it don`t work.
I don`t know what happen, i have tried to configure the proxy but nothing.
Can you help me?

when I try to use firefox in those laptops (windows xp):
browser starts but all tabs said "problem loading page"
then I think is the proxy configuration,so I start IE, see the LAN proxy configuration and copy in network/connection/settings but nothing?

Just to be sure you have the proxy correct, run the ProxyGet utility:

Whit that portableaap I have fixed my bad configuration.
my PC to 2.00016 and then tried 3.01 and I had the same problem.
I wonder what happened. It also seemed to block my usb one as well which is at 2.000015
I'll have to try the proxy thing when I get home.

and it ran, but there wasn' any proxy listed. Now FFP is set as "Direct connection to the Internet" and it has always been that.
Should it have it? Did it get changed by accident? What are the standard settings?

Well you may be behind a proxy at work/school, but not at home. So if you ran the utility at home, it would return that ur not behind a proxy

in that running GetProxy returned that it was an automatic proxy configurtion with an address of __________
And that is the part that was blank for both here at work (right now) and at home when I did it this morning.
Settings were the same, for a local install at work, local install at home, and usb install.
Oh, and I don't know if it matters or not, but I tried it with dialup and wireless.
