SanDisk

Thumb Drive
8 GB
SanDisk
cruzer micro
Currently running 17 apps from the menu, and I haven't noticed any speed difference between local installs and running form the thumb drive except for Firefox. Browsing is the same, yet startup and shutdown takes about 4 seconds longer, but that didn't start happening until I subscribed to Malware Domains in addition to Easy List USA in the Adblock Plus Firefox extension. I like the cruzer micros and have a couple smaller ones, one for Vista ReadyBoost and the other is a backup if one fails. The only thing I don't like about micros, is that they come with U3, but it's quick and easy to remove.

RE: i got the same USB, but many

Cruzer seems to be very popular.
more than 75 percent of my classmates last year had it.
But none of them have ever heard of portableapps.com.
They're all stuck with the U3 apps.

a few

4GB Corsair Flash Voyager (flash; kinda slow, although in Linux it's fairly fast)
60GB Maxtor One Touch III Mini (2.5" hdd; main drive)
1GB PNY Attache (flash; I didn't trust it all that much to store my PA's so I gave it to my wife)
1GB SanDisk Cruzer Micro (flash; I really liked the way it functioned, however it mysteriously disappeared)

Simple Flash Drives

1st

Memory Core 1Gb
Read/Write Speed - Slowish/Slow as hell
Usage for now - none, it is empty laying around somewhere
Other details - poor quality cap breaks very fast, cheap

2nd

Kingston DataTraveler 2Gb
Read/Write Speed - Have no idea, but it is good to me
Usage for now - my PortableApps are there, as any data that I need when away of my pc
Other details - good quality cap hasn't still broke, cheap

Blue is everything.

Same as NeoRame (Basically)

* 2.5" Ext HDD
*Western Digital
*160GB
*Passport

I don't have all 160GB for PA. I use truecrypt to encrypt a 4GB file for PA. Since the drive is formatted as FAT32, that's the most I can have.

As far as flash drives, I

As far as flash drives, I only have a 1GB Sandisk Cruzer Mini. However, I don't use it much since I bought a 320GB WD Passport (USB powered). I just bought a 1TB acomdata PureDrive for backing up large files.

Oh, and I have two memory cards - an 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for my PSP, and a 1GB Micro SD that came with my cell phone.

Vintage!

I use...

A PNY Attache (2 gig). It's fair for a $15 and under wal-mart bought flash drive. Moderate speed, still slow, a little bit, for FFPE yet all my other apps run great on it.
