Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 and Portable GIMP

Just to keep everyone in the loop. I'm putting the final touches on both of these and will be releasing them on Tuesday. At least one other new app will be released as well. The Portable OpenOffice.org update is a big one as it adds compatibility and portability with all settings to all Windows versions (except Win95, which OO.o no longer supports).

A few other announcements will be coming this week as well including a full set of RSS feeds to watch everything on the site from app announcements to news to forum posts as well as the start of the development section.

Until then, have a Happy New Year!

app

Will you say what app that is, or is it a secret?

Not just yet

There are actually 3 apps I'm working on... one of which may be expected... but I like a bit of secrecy and surprises. It makes life more fun!

GIMP

I just tried to put gimp on a USB last night using instructions from another site and couldn't figure it out. Hopefully yours isn't over my head.

Portable Gimp

Any news on this?

Where/When ?

Sorry to be pushy but I'd like to do a comparison between Photoshop( used at college) and GIMP (I use at home) on the colleges locked down PC.

Can't Wait

I've found through some searching that installing GTK and Gimp in the same directory will do the trick.
Obviously this means that GIMP has it's own GTK, I can live with this for now.
Is there any way I can tell it to store it's .gimp-2.2 directory on USB rather than in my home dir ?

Thanks

Ross

Please inform me, or help me

I would like to know when a portable gimp download becomes available on Portable Apps. I see that this article was posted over three months ago... One where it doesn't ask you to install anything when using it on a new computer every time. Your time is appreciated!
