The time stamp of the digital signature on my copy of NotePad++P is:
Friday, July 25, 2008 4:46:57 PM
Does that mean that John signed it on that date and time in N.Y?
or has the time been interpreted by my system clock and was at that time here in Chicago.
Put another way,
Are the time stamps of digital signature read as local time, or of the originator.
Thanks in Advance
Tim
I don't know. But since the certificate itself doesn't appear to say, I don't think it matters either.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I'm in the Eastern Time Zone, and my copy says 7/25/2008 5:46:18 pm.
But... what's the big deal anyway?

It appears that digital signatures display in your local time.
John, signed it at
Friday, July 25, 2008 4:46 PM my time
Friday, July 25, 2008 5:46 PM his time
Good to know for future reference.
Thanks,
Tim
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Glad I could help!
