Everytime I load a portableapp, there is a picture that appears of a dark red USB Sticks and something that looks like an upside down candle holder. Or is it something else? It's not some satanic symbol is it?
I guess only John knows for sure. John, what is the symbol?

I assume you're talking about the splash screen? A splash screen is just an image/screen that typically displays while a program is starting up. This can normally be if the program is a program that's slow to start up, or just time to display a company logo. In our case, the purpose of the splash screen is to provide an 'instant response/feedback' to the user to let them know that the program is running and will display for a bit longer until the program is closer to actually starting up since they can be slow running from a flash drive. All splash screen from here just have the program logo and that red flash drive, I'm not sure what you're talking about 'satanic symbols'.
Also, just a word of note, I believe the forum guidelines state it's maximum 2 posts per user/group per month. I can see you've already done a few more than that, which is fine, but in future please try to work up a few questions you may have and format them all in one post. Also, please try to search to like in the case of your MSN request, which may have returned some results by searching.
Sorry if I sounded harsh in any way there, I just wanted to let you know the rules/format around here as everyone tries to follow them but you're obviously not the first to not search (and hey, maybe you did). Just try to make an effort in the future.

Actually it's the USB Symbol. It looks "upside down" because the the picture of the drive in the splash screen is facing towards you. No Pagans here! (maybe ...)

And the portableapps "trident icon" has been altered it seems. Was that to avoid a trademark and (c) conviction?

That being said, "General Discussion" is just that however given the limitations of Drupal it's rather hard to carry on with long threads of seemingly random real-time chatter. My suggestion would be a more real-time forum like IRC.

ouch, hope is he ok. that's a long time to be sick. if anyone is sick for more than a few days or week, that means its usually more serious. I hope he recovers well.
