When I open a link from Outlook Express or any other application calling FFP for that matter - it opens some other version of FFP - it's the same version, but has different addons, etc. and the history is different for both. So it's like the same FFP but with slight variations? Has anyone experienced this?
Calling the browser by an url usually opens the host default browser -> if you have set Firefox to default you don´t open Firefox by the FFPortable.exe(=the launcher that knows where your profile/settings are stored and adapts all paths to keep Firefox portable). Yes, FF then is opened directly, creates a new profile in the same place where local FF does (= C:\Documents and settings\user\appdata\mozilla\firefox\profiles\....)and you´ll have an apparently different Firefox. It´s the same Firefox within your portable ..\app\firefox folder, but it uses the locally stored profile if you call it from the host machine and the portable profile when being launched by FFP.exe. With a file allocation device (host builtin or portable)you can set the path for html to FFP.exe, that should work..but often it´s easier to just install a local FF and synchronize the profiles..
