I Like the GUI, but it's missing some advanced options. I like to use the sort by name method (-a 7)now and then for games, and if I'm not blind it's missing

yeah, it's not there. when i get time to work on a new version of the gui i will add in an advanced options tab for all the possible settings but for now it has just been kept simple instead of making you choose a million jkdefrag options. -a 7 shouldn't be used very often anyways according to the jkdefrag site and also it's slow. the current options on there are enough for most users.

Thanks for your efforts. The GUI looks great. As you noted, it should be enough for most users. I like the option to get to the log file. In the current version, are there any options?
Would it be easier to give non-gui access to the rest of the JKdefrag options? This could be done either by putting them in a settings.ini file or running the app by hand with Jkdefrag switches. As it stands, it doesn't seem to accept command line options. Another possibility is to have advanced mode pop up a window to enter the options by hand.
Here's what I'm running into:
1) I have a truecrypt volume mounted as a drive. I'd like to defrag that drive once a month or so. The volume is stored on my hard drive, so I'm not worried about flash drive wear. I can understand that you don't want removable drives showing up in the gui, but it would be nice to be able to specify them on the command line.
2) I use the -q (finish and quit) option when I start JKdefrag over lunch or at the end of the day. Again, maybe not worth putting a checkbox on the gui, but it would be nice if this were accessible, even if it were only from the commandline.
3) I have a partition (file system) that has VMWare virtual disks. These are 2-GB files, but I want them moved to the faster parts of the disk. I can do this on the command line with excludes, but not from the gui.
Currently I've set up batch files with plain-vanilla JKDefrag to do what I want, so it's not vital. It may be that users who want the advanced features don't need the PortableApps version.

1)hm... i wouldn't see why truecrypt drives wouldn't show up. possibly windows doesn't see it as a regular hdd. i'll see what i can do to get it to show up. but even if it did show up, JkDefrag 3.34 doesn't work on TrueCrypt drives. they have fixed the issue now though, so JkDefrag 3.35 should be able to do it whenever it's released.
2)the gui uses the -q option, but i guess you mean you want an option to have to gui close on finish also. i'll put that option in when i put in the others.
3)again, i do plan on adding in a complete set of options, they just aren't in there yet. if you need all of those options you can try JkDefragGUI for now; it's not open source but it's free.
