Issues with v2

Hi,

I've been using the previous version for several months, and I just switched to version 2.0. There are some differences between the version, and I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.

1 - Security tab

When I create a job, I can encrypt my data without problem. When I reselect the job, it seems the job is automatically set to decrypt the data on next use (which is fine). However sometime it takes a while when I select an encrypt/decrypt job (30 seconds to 1 minutes) before the application become responsive again.

Also, I'm trying to put the @drive@ variable in my file list, but I haven't figured how to do it from the new interface yet. My guess is that because of this, when I select a job name when the drive letter has changed, the file in the job won't show up.

Can you assist me a little bit? Smile

minor bugs?

in Sync/Rules :
-deleted rules reappear after deleting and restart -> Rules.ini has to be edited manually to delete the rule
Font selection:
-works, but no change of font colour is accepted (writes to the settings.ini, but isn´t read on restart -> default black is the only fonts colour)

OK

thanks, I shall look into the first point, very annoying. As for the second point, sounds like a wxWidgets issue, I shall again look into it.

no, I didn´t ?

Why should I ? Why should I save a deleted rule? I´ll do a test next time

EDIT: made the test
deleting a test rule and pressing "save" gives an error prompt like "you must have a name for this rule´s set". Perhaps this is of importance: I upgraded from Toucan 1.2?
Have to delete it manually from the .ini
I´m going to test with a fresh install with out upgrading and come back...
EDIt: no upgrding related bug , either. Did a fresh install and the rules are kept in the same way..
Any further suggestions?

With

your first point, are you saying that when you select a previous job from the drop down box it becomes unresponsive?

For the second point, there is a little button on the far right hand that allows you to add portable variables, is this what you were after?

And thanks for the feedback Smile

1- When I select a previous

1- When I select a previous job from the drop down box, yes it becomes unresponsive.

2- I used the little button, at the far right. A pop-up shows up, asking to select the variable then press OK, but after that point I'm clueless, as the highlighted file isn't showing any path modification or something visual.

need some help with the commandline

made a .bat put into the Toucan main folder

Start .\..\..\PortableApps\Toucan\App\Toucan\Toucan MysafedJob

there comes up an error window: can´t load image from file"addvar.png": file doesn´t exist
if I press "ok" the job is done
did I miss something or is there a commandline problem?
Coding error with the .bat?
How to get rid of the error? -> the file is there in the /app/toucan folder

Gah

I thought I fixed this, the problem is the working directory, if you do this:

Cd .\..\..\PortableApps\Toucan\App\Toucan\
Start Toucan MysafedJob

Does that fix the problem?
