Solar Model 2.1

Hello!

Your program is great. I use it for set of programs which is available on your web site. But also would like to have on my portable device Solar Model (it is educational program). More detail about this app here -- http://www.ffsoftworks.com/solarmodel.php . It is freeware.

I'm not familiar with making apps portable but I really hope that it will not be difficult to make it portable.

Thank You.

Open Source

It seems to be an open source project. Here is the SourceForge page http://sourceforge.net/projects/solarmodel/ for those interested. After just a quick browse I prefer Celestia.

Thank you for your reply and

Thank you for your reply and the choice you made between apps. But I think it is great when there is a choice and you can decide yourself what to use and not some one else did this instead of you.

Good example is -- https://portableapps.com/apps/music_video
here we have 3 media players, they do all the same -- plays media, but you able to choose what to use.

P.S. I use a lot of application like Stellarium, Celestia, Solar Model etc. In common meaning they all do the same -- they teach, but when you start dig deeper -- you start see difference and its uniqueness.

Yes

I'd do it if no one else wants it. Its rather easy to make portable so maybe some one with less experience wants to give it a try.
Its a nice program and easy to make portable.
I now understand now what you mean by uniqueness although I dont know Celestia very well.

this is just me but...

it seems like this already has a high degree of portability. no installation is needed, just extract the zip, go into the folder and activate the executable and it starts running. thogh it may be dependant on other things that i am not aware of.

It just need the correct folder format and copying the settings file back and forth. Thats why I said its good for someone with no experience.
