How to rename my portable drive

I recently downloaded PortableApps, and noticed that my drive was renamed PortableApps.com . I want it to be called USBDRIVE. I changed the label in the autorun file. The file now reads:

[Autorun]
Open=StartPortableApps.exe
Action=Start PortableApps.com
Icon=StartPortableApps.exe
Label=USBDRIVE

The drive is still called PortableApps.com. I tried renaming the drive in the application (lower left corner) but the drive name still remains unchanged. What am I doing wrong? I appreciate any help.

Eject

As indicated in the support topic, you need to eject and reinsert your drive for the change to be picked up:
https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#renamedrive

It's a limitation of the autorun.inf. We use it because it allows longer drive names and special characters especially with FAT32 (which limits you to 11 characters).

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

nothing...

you did everything right. the thing is that windows explorer tends to cache your data. this means that it will take a while for windows explorer to recognize the name change. when it realizes, it will change accordingly.

Thanks!

Thanks to the both of you for responding. I tried my USB drive on another computer, and it showed up as the correct name. My computer is showing it as the correct name now as well. Thanks again
