A couple of comments: - you

A couple of comments:
- you are using the 'pro' version of EssentialPim portable as opposed to the free version
- If the contents of the pro zip are simply copied into the App directory, they are not in the same structure as other PAM-format applications which use a named directory under the Apps directory. Is there a directory name that should be used?
- Your launcher is reporting 'Error: EssentialPIM.exe cannot be found.' and asking for a reinstall. After wiping both the launcher and the app and reinstalling both, the same error occurs.

Just copy the folder and all items into the the Apps folder and it will work.

Still no success. - I deleted

Still no success.

- I deleted the whole EssentialPIMPortable folder again.
- Installed your launcher
- Copied the contents of the Pro version you link to in the OP to a directory 'EssentialPIM' under App
- Execute the EssentialPIMPortable.exe in the top subdirectory and get the same error message.

Anyone else succeeding out there?

just keep the

Just keep the folder name of the zipped folder. I think it is essentialpimproport2.

But I will change on the next release.

May the Shwartz be with you

Working now... No need to use

Working now...

No need to use a different folder name, just document what name to use. EssentialPIM does not store the folder name along with the files like many other applications delivered in zip files.

Now, for me, the BIG problem (don't think you can help here) get a usable technique to get my data out of Palm Desktop and into EPIM without buying the EPIM sync software to connect the Palm directly.

Website EssentialPIM no longer available ?

Wanted to take a closer look at Essential PIM first, but it seems to have vanished. - At least their website is no longer available through DNS requests...

Does anybody have an updated web address for it?

Works - But Won't Terminate

Works O/K. I agree with other comments about the directory name. The main issue I experience on a Vista box, is that I need to "kill" EssentialPIM via Windows TaskManager. That is, closing EssentialPIM does not actually terminate the process.

Keep up the good work - clarify the directory issue, or provide some clear instructions - and sort out the process termination. Then, you have a nice little launcher.

Regards,

Kim
