Any possibility of getting a Thunderbird Portable 3 PreRelease?
no
still too early, perhaps when it reaches mid to late beta
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
I downloaded an original english version of TB3, set the installation route to {path}\portableapps\thunderbirdportable\app\thunderbird AFTER DELETING ALL FILES IN THAT DIRECTORY & MAKING A BACKUP & now im using it almost as if i had installed it from a portableapps.com launcher. The only difference is that the original theme keeps in the version 2.0, while the TB3 original theme is blue, similar to the outlook2003bluetb.
We don't do alpha releases of software like Thunderbird. I think TB is either a pre-alpha or alpha 1, so it's too early.
You can download the ZIP and drop it into the ThunderbirdPortable\App\thunderbird folder if you really want to (after deleting the original contents first). It should mostly work though it may leave a couple blank directories in APPDATA if you use extensions.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
.....
Well, the only difference i have appreciated for now is the main theme & the plugin manager (which is similar to the Firefox3 one)
