Hi, been using this app to control my USB drive and a whole lot more. I installed it then copied the app folder over and with some tweaks like manually removing the drive letters in shortcuts it all work well.

PowerPro lets you take control of how you use Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP. Run commands and configure your system any way you want.
PowerPro gives you a compact and powerful launch bar, menu, and tray icon facility. But this is just the start. With a little experimenting with its configuration, you'll find that you can use PowerPro to change the way you work with your system. The source of its power is the way PowerPro integrates three capabilities.........................

like a dream, it does a lot more things than I even understand ha ha! Like running scripts etc, but that is beyond my knowledge/ability.
It is well worth trying it out.

Are you getting paid? *looks around suspiciously*

Yeah, am in the middle of the North Sea, half way between Scotland and Norway.
I have had a lot of benefit from the Apps here and would like to thank all involved. I can't contribute much technically but I like to try and give something back to the forums/site if I can which is why I posted PowerPro.

being accused of bumping, I was wondering if anyone has found this app to be of any benefit. I really feel that it is worthy of attention.
@rmcue I hope you have tried the app and share some of my enthusiasm.
PStart is wonderful, but choice and variety are part of the joys of free apps.
And to add to that.. I for one, am grateful for all the time and effort all you people put into making this stuff freely available.
There are a lot of negative posts, and downright aggresive demands for new releases etc, but this does not refelect the majority of forum visitors who, like me are grateful for what is freely given.
Although, we all have to bear in mind that we all started somewhere and that questions and "demands" from newbies should not be dismissed without some consideration. I was born before the silicon chip and things like "netiquette" are still a bit alien to me. It was a while before I realised that typing in CAPS was so offensive to many people.
The bottom line of what I am trying to say is " cut us poor newbies some slack", we want to be part of the community but perhaps do not understand all the protocols.
Thanks to all who make this site so good.

But I had XP reinstalled the next day and forgot about it.
I can't get it again cause of download limit.
T'was good though.
BTW Don't worry about bumping as much.

Download limits must be a pain in the a**, I suppose it makes portable apps much more attractive. I think you must have seen a lot of arguements about the pro's and con's of portable apps versus web apps.
Web apps are great if you have a good conection but it falls apart if you do not.
I have looked for a good email client which will work through port 80 and will let me download emails and compose replies offline. The reason being that my employers net access policy is very restrictive. I dream of a client that will let me manage my email by use of a quick download of incoming mail to a usb drive inbox and an ability to compose replies offline. All which could be done through port 80.
I am still looking for this solution, a gmail usb client would probably be the answwer.
Death to the emloyers proxy!! Ha ha!
