Opera - Proxy

I have never had any success getting Opera past the proxy server at work despite using the same setting as my PFF. Anybody got any suggestions as to why this might be?

Portable opera

I have tried several different flavours of portable Opera but but never got any of them past the proxy. I have a feeling it may be the way Opera identifies itself???
Only a guess though.

Authorising Proxy?

Proxy setup for opera is easy. Maybe you have to auhtorize to the proxy?

it's easy to make it working

it's easy to make it working with proxy. Opera automatically imports IE proxy settings for example. Something must be set wrong then, password/login/ports ?

A portable Opera v.9.0

A portable Opera v.9.0 version
http://www.kejut.com/operaportable

The Opera browser that has been repacked´so that you can
run Opera by just clicking, without the need of installation
or administrator rights.

There are two versions available.
Opera Portable Personal
You can manage multiple profiles at once! For example, in office, school,
home, internet cafe, etc you can have different profiles for each of them.
The profile file will contain all the settings you made while running. So,
your settings, history, wand passwords, etc are packed into a single file,
then they are overwritten and deleted on the host machine (so you leave
no trace). When you run Opera Portable on another machine, your settings
will be applied again. This is suitable for usage in USB/flash disks and
other writable media.

Opera Portable One-Use
All settings, history, cache etc are completely destroyed after running.
This is suitable if you run Opera Portable from LAN shares, CD/DVD,
or any unwritable media.
