There's a certain inconsistency with the screen shots for a lot of apps listed here.
For example:

The screen shot in this page doesn't link to a bigger image.

but on this page the screen shot does link to a bigger image.
Another thing, if you have javascript disabled you can not view the screen shot.
It just goes to the page where the image was supposed to be and displays this
Page Not Found (404 Error)
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

When Javascript is enabled middle clicking on an image does nothing but open the same page in a new tab and it basically "breaks" the 'open page in new tab' command in Firefox.

I think its deliberate.
The screenshots on the Applicatons pages open (for me) in a separate window and they are bigger. The ones on theannouncement/news page arent opening anything if I click on them and they are just previews.
About the javascript:
I just disabled mine and it didn't do anything. No 404 error page.
Oh and btw I use FF3 on Linux.

But your final link leads to a 404. I don't think the pictures are done that way.

I dont think the pictures are stored anywhere in that part of the site. I think its stored in the images folder.

The 'story' above doesn't have a linked image because it's a news story. We may be switching these to RSS in the future and the links won't work.
The screenshot links work fine when Javascript is enabled. When disabled, they simply reload the page.
