Any body have any experience with that?
When I visit BBC's player here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/fivelive/
It tells me "To play BBC Radio 5 live please first install Windows Media Player for Firefox. "
And links to here:
http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-down...
But I'm assuming there is some special trick for it not to end up in the wrong place?
http://www.mediafire.com/?swl4j4sj9tm
drop this in your X:\portableapps\firefoxportable\data\plugin\
and this should work i think
I had to put it in:
\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\plugins
But then it worked fine.
Thanks!
Excellent, thank you for that dll! It works fine now!
Internet Explorer 6 (yes, I know > corporate) kept on crashing on a page that now loads without trouble in FF 3.6.6.
When I go to the BBC link it prompts me to install Real Player not the Windows Media Player. Kind of strange no?
Talking of real player how do you install the plugin in FFP?
if i rember correctly john has said this isnt possible
but i could be wrong
darn!
Is it possible to do it with Quick time?
Unfortunately no, the QuickTime codecs themselves are not portable.
However, some plugins files can be added to the Firefox Portable plugins folder so they can use the Quicktime codecs if it is locally installed.
