When I attempt to start Portable Firefox 3.0.1 with multiple tabs, using the "AdditionalParameters=http://www.yahoo.com|http://www.google.com" line in the FirefoxPortable.ini file, it fails to open the first tab and doesn't open the additional tab(s).
After investigating this further, I see that any colon after the initial colon is being removed.
My settings for my Home Page inside Firefox's Tools,Options are set to a different set of tabs ("http://www.cnn.com|http://yahoo.com") and works fine when a New Window is started.
Any suggestions or fix for this?
It's not a bug, it's a feature This behaviour came with Firefox 3.0.1/2.0.0.16 to fix a security issue.
See Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory 2008-35.
OK, is there any way then of getting a bookmark folder of those sites to "Open All Tabs" on start up?
From now on every time you start Firefox it starts with multiple home pages.
Thanks, but I've already got that set up to start up those different pages when I Ctrl-N (Open New Window.)
Is there any way to have multiple tabs open from a single link?
Right now, I've created a bookmark folder of "Startup Bookmarks" and have to right-click on it and select "Open All in Tabs". I'd like to skip having to do this manually every time I start Firefox.
