I was searching for a Google Chromium link and came across this....
[link to illegal software removed by mod JTH] It mentions and has a link to portableApps.com, and links to the suite, but is the name, or site for that matter, legal? Only one letter difference in the name. What do you think?
An illegal site. They have firefox and opera packaged in addition to some payware.
cowsay Moo
cowthink 'Dude, why are you staring at me.'
I haven't checked the apps themselves.
I think Portable Apps and [name of illegal site removed by mod JTH] are ok. "Your digital life, anywhere" is trademarked and PortableApps.com has been pushed as the official name on this site instead of PortableApps.
IMHO the name itself it is legally okay although the Z is reminding me of wareZ.
the download link (which is rapidshare) can show that he might make changes on it (put virus etc) and why not link it to portableapps.com to download it?
He uses Portableapp Creator and he also pack some reg-key for payware software.
DUDE please remove the link..... most of that is warez packaged in the portableapps format.....
iLike Macs, iPwn, However you put it... Apple is better ^_^
"Claiming that your operating system is the best in the world because more people use it is like saying McDonalds makes the best food in the world..."
He only posted to link in order to have us determine if there was any illegal activity and copyright infringement on PortableApps.com there.
Are his [name of illegal site removed by mod JTH] full of spyware and virus?
No - see https://portableapps.com/node/15938#comment-98739
