How to tell JKDefrag to sort by names?

Hi everyone

My plan is this:
I renamed a 600mb file to "A" and copied it to my system drive, now I want to defrag my system drive, delete "A" and then tell Windows to set its swap file to my system drive, this will end up in the swap file (512mb) to be placed at the very beginning of my drive, only right now I am not able to tell JKDefrag to sort by names. I've used regular JKDefrag before and I know this option is possible, still I don't know how to handle this with the portable version.

my gui doesn't have an option

my gui doesn't have an option for that. sorted optimization takes a long time since it basically moves around everything on your hdd, and shouldn't be done too often and can create fragments so i just have the fast optimization on there for a mainstream user base. to sort by name you will need to either launch the main jkdefrag.exe with the -a 7 command line option (see jkdefrag homepage for a reference) or you can download "JkDefragGUI" (i think their site's down right now)

Hey Travis, thanks for your

Hey Travis,

thanks for your reply.
Sad this option isn't included, also it seems you are not interested in adding this feature to one of the comming versions of JK portable?

Best regards,

ERDi

i plan on it

well that's not true; i planned to add in all the possible options. i haven't had time to do programming for a while now though since i'm busy all of the time between college and work. maybe when the semester's over i'll have time to add them or even re-write the gui in wxwidgets or python.
