When I click a link in a message an error appears:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel"
Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the system doesn't have an association set with handling links in programs. if you click on a link in your web browser does it work?
This issue happen if you update Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition from the auto-updater. If you read the application's page, there is a reminder to NOT auto-update.
To fix the issue, reinstall the desktop version of Firefox, should do the trick.
When I click a link in my browser it opens.
I reinstalled Firefox Portable, same problem.
Could it be a Pidgin Issue?
I just wanted to clarify. Will links open with the locally installed browser on the PC? Or will they just not open at all? I don't think you're going to have any luck opening links with Firefox Portable as it'll most likely look for the default browser within the registry.
I have Firefox Portable on my C: drive, and it works fine.
The links will not open in Pidgin what-so-ever.
Hope this answers your questions.
