Freemat

Could someone please check if is possible to make portable this app:
http://freemat.sourceforge.net/index.html
From the site:
"FreeMat is a free environment for rapid engineering and scientific prototyping and data processing. It is similar to commercial systems such as MATLAB from Mathworks, and IDL from Research Systems, but is Open Source. FreeMat is available under the GPL license." Thanks

Looks like a great app. I'm a bit short on free time lately, so maybe one of our other developers can give it a look.

Just wondering if you had any further progress with making freemat into a portable app?

Cheers,

I'll be going on vacation for 2 weeks, but after I return, I'll compare the various OSS MATLAB-like applications and port whichever offers the most functionality.

As soon as Friday is over, maybe during Friday or on Saturday ill post it in the beta.. I just have to go back and check everything and make sure it works. Plus I have to study for my Finals so check in the beta forums on Saturday and it should be there.

Progress on freemat portable

Hi,

Thanks for the efforts so far - just wondering if either of you had an update on how you have been going with making freemat portable?

Thanks,

DG

edit: Just a note, the last update to the Freemat wiki on Google Code (back on 22 Feb 08) mentions portability, but not sure how that has gone.

Time's up, guys :)

Nathan9222 and ZachHudock, I don't know whether you ever made a package/launcher or not. I don't want to steal an app, but I've created a launcher myself.
I could also create a complete package and share it in the Beta Testing Forum, if you don't mind.

Ok, done!

@Patrick Patience: It wasn't planned but do you have space at your server for another app? It's about 8MB.
If Nathan9222 don't mind and you have the space, I'll send you the package tomorrow.

Here it is: FreeMat Portable 3.6 Development Test
