I've noticed a number of projects are no longer in development or available for download. Mostly, unavailable for download is the bugger.
What I'm asking for is if you have a copy of those, whether installed or installer, send me them.
I'll re-upload them on a server so that they can be re-downloaded. I may update the installers where needed.
Right now, I'm looking for:
Blender *Thanks to muskrat
AspellPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
GSViewerPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
GhostscriptPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
GraphicsMagickPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
ImageMagickPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
LyXPortable *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
MiKTeXPortable-2.6
MiKTeXPortable-2.7 *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
Hugin Photo Stitcher *Thanks to LOGAN-Portable
I will not be providing support or development for these, just the files. If you need support, you'll get general help on the ones I can help with.
Please, if you have any of them, send them to:
M r (dot) s o u p 1 2 (aT) G m a i l (DOT) c o m
Remove all spaces.
If you have other apps, go ahead and send those. Just please check to make sure that the download link is no longer working properly.
I would also like to request Hugin Photo Stitcher if you don't mind.
Added to list

so I may have Blender and Hugin. I'll post if I find them and send to you.
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
Please send blender to the developers contact address for PortableApps.com

I have all but the Miktex ones. I can email them to you.
which is the latest one that powerjuce made.
It's the installed version - I'm zipping it and sending it to Oliver.
BTW, Hugin 0.7.0 Stable was released officially, so if anyone picks this up again...
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
Thanks- I appreciate it.
I've noticed some links have gone dead, and I thought that this would be a good idea.

Please note that at least GSViewer and Ghostscript Portable don't work at all - they are completely broken and not even worth using as a basis. GraphicsMagick, ImageMagick and LyX are also probably broken beyond benefit from having copies of.
(btw, I like email address encoding like "my email address is mr.soup12, at Google's mail server - gmail.com in case you have somehow missed it!")

Was unaware. I know they were AutoIt.
Do you have Mixtex or the others?

I am glad you picked this up as I myself got a bit frustrated myself about the older stuff that just disappeared from download, sometimes caused by pro-active removal by the original uploaders due to they stopped supporting the application.
Although not all these apps will be picked up again and might be outdated by now it's sad to see them disappear. One of the problems these disappeared might be the fact that these are uploaded on people's personal web space that was either discontinued or re-used for other projects.
While some people have long term commitment to PortableApps the fact of reality is that some of these applications might disappear without warning or without being re-uploaded to some archive.
While some of use have a library of the latest versions on our local drives it might be useful to think about long term archiving of these applications that do not rely on individual people. I almost would suggest SourceForge for this because they have proven to be able to have very long term downloads available.
Maybe the people of PortableApps could think about a good way to preserve these old versions of applications for the next generation of portable developers to picking these apps and updating them to the latest versions. This would make sure they have some starting point and might save people starting from scratch all over again. Please think of all the applications that have been posted in the Beta forums over the past few years.
I myself am a very big fan of Blender and I used it to model quite a part of my city with it and a c64 model, that I truly can say that Blender is one of the high profile open source applications all the way up there with Open Office and FireFox. In the past few years Blender has grown to become competitive for the bigger commercial applications (fe. 3D Max) whereas not that long ago it was comparable to the lower end of the marked (fe. TrueSpace). A PortableApps version of Blender would be a great addition to the list of PortableApps.com. Blender 2.48 is coming soon
Thanks to all people that are working on portable applications in the past, present and future. I hope we can find a way to archive your efforts for the future.
Thanks.
My request for a sourceforge project has been approved. Now I just have to figure out how to work the things.
Yeah, I'm sad to see them go, myself. Some of them I don't use, but I'd to take a look at others.
Personally, I don't use blender, but want it (at least a test version) of it up online somewhere.

there already is a sourceforge project for non-official Apps. Maybe we can use that instead of creating a new one?

there probably is- but I don't know how it is and the project has been approved. Now I just have to figure out how to connect.

and

Yes, but how long will it take to get permissions? Understand I'm not trying to develop these. I don't have the time. But I am trying to get some of this stuff up where people can download from it.

That's not the point of SF. It's for things that are being actively maintained and developed.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Maybe you're right but I must stress that SourceForge also has downloads of projects from the past. I admit its for things that were once developed and SourceForge isn't for things that are already abandoned but the fact that having a place where apps can be hosted is important to have these available after they are abandoned else they just disappear in thin air. Future developers maybe would not pick those up if there's no older version available.
Maybe we should then look elsewhere to make those available until they are picked up again by a developer. Maybe archive.org can help or something. I don't know, all I know is that it's a waste to let apps disappear without any effort to try and archive them until new versions appear.
I'm still using some 'outdated' versions myself because no newer versions have been made portable, and in some cases these may even be the current versions.
I hope you agree, and maybe you have a suggestion.
That's why I wanted to get all dev tests hosted on SF in a dev test project. But people kept yelling about wanting to use their own hosting since it was easier.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Yeah, some people found uploading to their private hosts easier and faster. And many don't have SF accounts or aren't invited on the dev test accounts and also might not know how to upload even if they were. But in theory that doesn't have to mean that someone else could not re-upload these applications to a dev test project.
I do not think having an unlimited amount of people to have publish rights would be the solution but maybe some people could upload development tests.
All I'm saying is they accepted the project. I made no bones about what is was in the submission.

Not sure if it will make it through, bounced on the first try and the second try timed out... Let me know, eh?

Made it through, thanks a bunch for Blender.
I'll try to upload it today- I'm new to Sourceforge Uploading.

Sorry I haven't visited in a while. Currently working on my first assignment which covers corporate identity as the primary objective. The course is going well. But do miss contributing. The main reason I had popped by was that I new there was a new version of Gimp on the scene.
It's nice to see that Blender still holds interest for everyone. I am just sorry I never got to finalise 2.47 before the course started. Blender 2.48 is just around the corner too. If there was any app that I could have kept support for it was Blender. The release that someone kindly passed on was the working 2.45 that I had keep animation image files locate to the Data folder.
Using this and importing over the latest 2.48 beta also works if you are hungry for newness. The unfortunate thing is that it will not have the latest installer etc. If I get an opportunity when 2.48 is released I will update it for everyone, unless someone does beat me to it or I just struggle with my workload.
Take care and I hope to be back soon with a gift for my fellow Blender lovers.

Hi
The downloadlinks for Mac-Like theme for Portable Apps menu are dead :.(

If you have it please report back..
Cheers Måns Mårtensson
But this type of theme (in zip file) is outdated.
Since the picture is still available at full 406x573 resolution, it's possible to use that to create your own theme.
