Scratch is an open source app created by MIT. It is intended as a way of introducing young people to programming. I have used this very successfully with high school classes and it is a very popular platform in education.

I want to be able to give students a USB pre-installed with portable apps covering all software that students will need for the entire curriculum. Scratch is one of only two programs (the other being some sort of video-editing software) that's currently missing from what we'd need.

one tool I am using at work is the tool "Screenshot Captor".

It is a tool to capture screen shots.
The special thing about Screenshot Captor is that you have many options to edit the screen shot (just some examples:

• You can add objects (boxes, frames, arrows, text boxes)
• These objects can me modified and removed even after restarting the PC
• Many effects like "dim", "blur" and others

This tool is really powerful and I am using it very often.

But I want a portable app, that is included in the Portable Apps Plattform.
There I automatically get updates.
There I can install new portable apps very easy.
And the portable apps are all in one directory.

Creating a portable version of Launchy is easy.
