MPLAYER GUI Portable APP!

Submitted by Milardo on February 4, 2007 - 4:10am

How about an mplayer gui portable app, preferably one where you can play dvds with menus and chapter support, play .nsv files with seeking support, play audio cds, and have choice of gui skins. I could help design an initial gui interface, drawing only, not programming sorry.

A good basic "Paint" program?...

Submitted by Preacher on February 2, 2007 - 2:22pm

Hey guys -

I'm looking for a good, small graphics editor (Paint) program - needless to say, one that runs portably - and I was hoping you could help me find one.

I'm not looking for a high-powered app like portable GIMP, just something that does what MS Paint does, w/ maybe a few more features, particularly the capability of zooming OUT a ways (not just IN), which Paint doesn't do.

I have a lot of spam, and i just testing spamato with my NON-PORTABLE Thunderbird, and works great, but i'd like to know if it's possible to make it portable and 100% functional for ThunderbirdPortable.

For more info go to: http://spamato.net

Thanks to all !!!

Have Idea, Need Help

Submitted by nekiruhs on February 1, 2007 - 6:13pm

Hi, for those of us at school, interruptions can be a real pain. I have a novel idea that could fix this. I think a program that enables you to take a screen shot when you are being productive, and then press a key later to display the screen shot, hiding whatever you were doing. I am willing to help with any coding if necessary.

I don't have a home computer, so I have to rely on the computers at the library. They don't have compilers or IDEs and you can't install anything on them. When I first saw Portable Apps, I got excited because I could get around the security and run the apps from my 40GB USB hard drive without leaving anything on the computer. I can now use Fire Fox to surf the net, and GAIM to talk to my friends online, but you guys don't seem to have much for software development. Is there any way you can package either Dev-C++

GMail Drive

I've got another one which would make a great app to use with this, if it's at all possible, http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm GMail Drive, would make a sweet addition to the PortableApps collection as well. It seems there are like 4 files and a few calls to the registry, but it looks like it should be possible to make it portable using the /Data/Registry folder to hold that information in.
