I am using Firefox Portable ESR 52.4.1 32-bit, with SumatraPDF plug-in.
Using a customized usercontent.css, I found that the rule for HTTPS links ([href^="https:"] { content: url() }) is activated only after reloading FF (not version specific). Other rules go w/o issue.
Does anyone know the reason for this, and how to circumvent it?
I have used Firefox in Sandbox (for security). Until Firefox 56 there were no problems. But in Firefox 56.01 (open in Sandboxie) are experiencing problems. Firefox 56.01 no longer saves or updates my Email accounts and their saved passwords anymore in Bookmarks. That is, to enter my Email accounts, (in firefox 56.01) I always have to enter my email and password. In Firefox 56 I automatically login to accounts because unlike version 56.01, version 56 still saves all data (email accounts and passwords) on it. Then I decided do not update to 56.01.
Hey guys,
We're currently using portable firefox on a deployment of about 800 or so machines. We were going to disable updating completely as it's removing the focus from the main window and hiding the update notification, causing our users to forcibly power down the machine in order to regain control.
I'd like to go a different route and set a task so that these machines install any available update (if any) at some point in the middle of the night, every night.
This is the situation...... i have installed Firefox 64bit on c:\programmi\ etc .etc........ our profile it's normally in %APPDATA%\Mozilla etc etc.
For sometime i have an idea to setup an addiction version of Firefox and a idea to add a portable configuration..... i have download the 6.0.1 and i have "extracted" on D:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable.
Apparently all it's work............. but there's a LITTLE trouble. Every time i run this portable setup i LOST everythings on the "installed" version..... because there's append ??
In the case of the launch of the portable Firefox (ESR 52.2.0) in command line mode,
it is impossible to redirect the native output of the browser console (Firefox.exe) from the launcher (FirefoxPortable.exe) by typing the following command line:
C:> E: /FirefoxPortableESR52.2.0/FirefoxPortable.exe 2&1> dump.txt
After installing of the newest version v56.0 I can't run the browser from within the portableapps menu.
Good Morning,
In the institution that I work, there's a requirement to run an outdated system that runs on Java v.121. It can run either on Internet Explorer or Firefox, but there's another system that only runs with Java 1.44 on Internet Explorer. Therefore, I cannot use one browser to run all sytems.
I apologize if Portable Apps is not the right forum to ask this question, I'm sorta new at all this. I asked this in the official Firefox help forum but they said they're not affiliated with the portable version. I also asked this in the Sandboxie forum about a year ago and I was given an answer, but I'm just not sure it was the right one, because my profile eventually started to get all out of whack. I wish I could tell you what was happening, but it was a year ago and truthfully I don't remember.
I have problem with launching 64-bit version of 55.0.3 on Win 10 x64.
When I launch fresh install of Firefox Portable then in Process Explorer there is 32-bit "Firefox Portable" launcher process and 64-bit "Firefox" processes.
But when I move my profile in to this installation then launcher always runs 32-bit version.
Why?
How to run 64-bit Firefox with existing profile?
(AlwaysUse32Bit is set to false)
